Congratulations to Christian-Brothers with the election of the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine!
The People’s Deputy of Ukraine Yuriy Miroshnichenko, on the TV program “A look at the week” on channel 112, greeted all Orthodox Christians with the election on Saturday, December 15, the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. He became Metropolitan of Pereyaslavl and Bila Tserkva Epiphanius, who received the title Metropolitan of Kiev and all Ukraine.
“Although I belong to the church that did not participate in this process, I would like to congratulate our brothers, Orthodox Christians who have done this. On Sunday morning, I was in the church, like the vast majority of Orthodox Christians. The liturgy begins with us in order to unite all the churches. After all, the Christian faith is one. ”
The parliamentarian expressed his major concern about the possibility of forcibly removing the temples belonging to their denomination, but stressed that he hoped that the authorities would fulfill their promises and this would not happen: “The president, as the guarantor of the Constitution, promised that there would be no compulsory extraction. Hope he keeps his word. ”
“Forcibly people will not be able to get to go to any denomination. I think that if there is a religious confrontation, it will be very far from Orthodoxy and Christianity as a whole. But if this process is to be created in love and respect, then everyone will find their place in prayer to God “, – concluded Yuri Miroshnychenko.
