Today, on the day of the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Kiev, we face the task of challenging peace in Ukraine!

On this day, 75 years ago, Kiev was liberated from the Nazi occupation forces. The battle for Kyiv lasted 10 days. Dozens of destroyed buildings, blown up by Khreshchatyk, all bridges sank, and destruction of the Cathedral of the Assumption in the Lavra – this is only part of how terrible events in Kyiv were reflected. Only according to official figures, more than 30 thousand lost lives.
Then the hero-soldiers struggled for peace at the cost of their own lives, and today our task is to do everything for people to live in a peaceful country. And again, Ukraine is going through turbulent times. The ongoing information warfare separates us further, but Ukrainians are a smart, strong-willed nation.
For the sake of the unity of our people, the future of our children, and for the sake of honoring the memory of World War II veterans, we must seek the unity of all of us, find ways of resolving, sometimes seemingly impossible and already hopeless cases, but those, for worth fighting and defending. The return of Ukraine to the world is our direct duty!
