Our team has recorded a number of violations
during the current election campaign

Stated the People’s Deputy of Ukraine Yuri Miroshnychenko and gave examples of such violations.

Commenting on the decision of the CEC No. 274, which eliminated 5 polling stations at Ukrainian diplomatic missions in Russia, the parliamentarian noted:

“Thus, even according to the minimal estimates, hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian citizens in the territory of Russia, in fact, are deprived of at least the potential right to vote. Yes, most of them do not usually use this right, and this is their conscious decision, but now they are deprived of this right at all.

In addition, we will be frank, at some polling stations in Russia, usually only Ukrainian diplomats and their families are voting. For example, in the presidential elections in 2014 at the polls at the Consulate General of Ukraine voted: in Nizhny Novgorod – 19 voters, Novosibirsk – 28, Nizhny Novgorod – 31, Yekaterinburg – 32. It turns out that even the Ukrainian diplomats will be deprived of the right to vote . It is unlikely that any of them will go to vote in Georgia, Kazakhstan or Finland, because precisely in these countries the neighboring territories of Russia are assigned to the polling stations. ”

Yuri Miroshnichenko as a doctor of jurisprudence in the field of constitutional law stressed:

“The violation consists in the fact that even the actual deprivation of the right to vote one voter is unacceptable in a democratic country. For many Ukrainian citizens abroad, the opportunity to vote in elections remains almost the only thread that connects them with their homeland, and the Ukrainian state cuts off this connection.

The politician also told about the violation, which was recorded in Kharkiv on February 10, 2019.  Groups of radicals tried to destroy the political advertising of the OPPOSITION PLATFORM – FOR LIFE. These actions were committed in the dark, with face masks of the intruders.

Yuri Miroshnychenko also shared the findings of his colleague Yuri Pavlenko with regard to the main types of violations in the current election:

“A member of our team, the People’s Deputy of Ukraine, Yuriy Pavlenko, on February 12, on the air of one of the TV channels clearly articulated three basic types of violations in the current election: bribing voters, maximizing the use of administrative resources and intimidating public activists, campaigners and staff of the headquarters.”

Yuriy Miroshnychenko formulated his position on the principles of conducting an election campaign: “The leader of our political team, presidential candidate Yuriy Boyko, on January 25, 2019, at the beginning of the election campaign of the current presidential election, clearly stated that he was in favor of fair elections:” For us, the state. We must understand responsibility for our country. Therefore, elections must be held honestly. “
