Talking about political competition, the ideology of programs and vision of the future under the conditions of the active action of the majority system is very difficult!

This was emphasized by the People’s Deputy of Ukraine Yuriy Miroshnychenko commenting on the shortcomings of the majoritarian system in Ukraine on the TV channel “Newsone.”

The politician noted that the disadvantages of the majoritarian system in Ukraine consist in preserving the old parliamentary composition due to competitive advantages in the electoral business of acting deputies arising from their possession of certain additional resources in the districts: “Talking about political competition, the ideology of programs, vision of the future in an active action of the majoritarian system is difficult. “

According to a parliamentarian, a proportional system for Ukraine would be more progressive if there were open lists: “But even voting on closed lists would allow to complete the political structuring of the country and give more opportunities to political parties,” Yuri Miroshnychenko summed up.
