In Ukraine there are various religions, various churches, but the most important thing is that God is in our hearts!

That’s how Ukraine’s parlamentarian Yuriy Miroshnychenko commented on the talk show the question about the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kiev and Moscow Patriarchates, which is now relevantly on the agenda. According to the parliamentarian, in recent discussions on this topic there is too much politics and not enough basis of faith – God.

“We proceed from the fact that patriarchates and churches: Orthodox, Catholic, or Greek Catholic are created by people. But they are not. The church is created by God. For every believer, no matter what denomination he belongs to, the most important thing is that the God has left love to us. Faith encourages us to love even our enemies, not to mention our loved ones. And if our approach is exactly that, then all the processes that are taking place today in Ukraine will unite believers”, – noted Yurii Miroshnychenko.

The parliamentarian notes: “At Sunday services, at the liturgy ,me, my brothers and sisters from my community, pray for Ukraine and for those who cause problems to our church. It seems to me that the challenges that we face now must be resolved on the basis that we are Christians and God unites us. ”

“I am not going to change the church, just as I did not change my political orientation, no matter how I was offended by what was happening. I have decided and bear my cross, whatever it may be, good or bad. The same with my community. The historical truth in Ukraine is that we have always have respected differences. There are various religions, various churches, but the most important thing is that God is in our hearts!”, – concluded Yuri Miroshnychenko.
