Those affected by the Chernobyl accident need more help from the state!

This was emphasized by the People’s Deputy of Ukraine Yuriy Miroshnychenko, commenting on the situation in which people who suffered as a result of the Chornobyl catastrophe appeared.
The parliamentarian said that according to official figures, for the sixth year, the budget funding for “Chernobyl” social programs is decreasing, since the funds allocated from the State Budget for the implementation of the program “Social protection of citizens affected by the Chernobyl disaster”, compared with 2013, decreased almost 5 times.
“Unfortunately, we can observe cancellation of certain privileges and compensations for” Chernobyl victims “for medical services and a number of other benefits, which led to appropriate changes in a number of laws”, – said Yuri Miroshnychenko.
The People’s Deputy also noted that after the protests of active citizens and the appeal to the Constitutional Court of a group of 50 deputies of the parliament (on the initiative of deputies representing the CHF), the reduction of benefits to “Chernobyl” was considered unconstitutional, but despite the fact that the decision of the Court is binding execution, the actual course of action shows the opposite situation.
“The OPPOSITION PLATFORM team – FOR LIFE, considers it necessary to resume funding in full for benefits to victims and their families, providing appropriate funds in the budget. And also to ensure uninterrupted stable supply of necessary medicines and full support of organizations dealing with the problems of the victims of the Chernobyl accident “, – summed up Yuri Miroshnychenko
