PRAYING GROUP IN THE SUPREME COUNCIL OF UKRAINE!

Prayer is a conversation with God. It is necessary for us just like air and food. We have everything from God and there is nothing of our own: life, ability, health, food, all of this is given to us by God. Therefore, in joy or sorrow, we must turn to God.

Especially at this time when Ukraine fights for its independence, which has rebelled against injustice, evil and external aggression.

Every morning in the Parliament of Ukraine there are prayer breakfasts – this is the tradition that is part of our lives. It enables each of us to reflect on what we are doing today, how we live, how we want to build our common future today. Whatever we plan, any changes, any steps that enable us to succeed will be impossible without spiritual power, without faith, without unity.

Representatives of various factions and confessions gather together in the walls of the Parliament for the sake of a common prayer to God. Yuriy Miroshnychenko takes part in these prayer-breakfasts.

PRAYER FOR UKRAINE! PRAYER FOR THE PEACE AND PROTECTION!

The mentioned prayer group became the basis for the creation of the Inter-faction Parliamentarian group “FOR THE SPIRITUALITY AND HEALTH OF UKRAINE”.

The untiring goal of this association is the consolidation of the people’s deputies of Ukraine around the preparation of legislative initiatives aimed at strengthening the morals, spiritual and physical health of the nation, ensuring freedom of conscience, promoting interfaith harmony, uniting the efforts of the state, the public and denominations in promoting family and spiritual values, formation of youth, social, family, educational policy of the state, as well as prevention of negative phenomena, fight against drug addiction, AIDS, prostitution, child homelessness and other public defects.

Yuri Miroshnychenko also initiated a bill on amending the Rules of Procedure of the Parliament of Ukraine (regarding the reading of the prayer “Our Father” immediately after the opening of plenary sessions), registration number 6722.

Prayer can penetrate every corner of our lives every day, it’s not easy work, but whoever tries to pray continually receives help from heaven.

“But as you pray, do not be like the hypocrites who love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the crossroads, so that people can see them. Verily I say unto you, They have already their reward.
And when you pray, enter into your closet, shut your doors, and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees the secret will give you explicitly.

But as you pray, do not show excess, like the Gentiles, because they think that they will be listened to for their own blasphemy.

So do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need, even before your request!
You pray thus:

Our Father, Thou that is in heaven!
Let thy name be holy, let thy kingdom come, let thy will be in heaven, so on earth.
Give us our daily bread today.
And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive our perpetrators.
And do not bring us into temptation, but free us from evil.
For yours is the kingdom, and power, and glory forever. Amen

Because as people will forgive their sins, your Heavenly Father will forgive you.
And if you will not forgive people, then your Father will not forgive you your sins. ”
