The integrity of an election campaign depends on the conscience of candidates and voters!

This is how People’s deputy of Ukraine Yuriy Miroshnychenko replied to the question of a journalist on the TV channel “News One” about whether it is possible to conduct fair and transparent elections in today’s Ukrainian realities.

The parliamentarian stressed that in the first place – this is the responsibility of the candidates, but the result of the same depends no less on the citizens themselves. Candidates now form their teams that will compete with one another, determine the methods of their activities: “If the bar of dignity and honesty of competition is respected, then the elections will be fair. After all, all falsifications and violations have their own customers, and mainly – these are the candidates themselves. Therefore, the use of administrative resources, bribery, direct falsification of counting votes, unequal conditions during agitation – all this is the result of the activities of teams that create electoral competition. “

“We are seeing violations even before the start of an active election campaign. Some potential candidates have not yet officially registered but are actively advertising themselves. Personally, I sincerely hope that conscience and honest competition will win in these election races, and campaigning for its candidate will not turn into a watering of dirty opponents “, – summed up Yuri Miroshnychenko.
